Course Rules

1. All golfers must register before starting.

2. All groups must start from #1 tee.  No starting from #3 tee without permission from the Pro Shop.

3. No more than foursomes are permitted.

4. It is your responsibility to replace all divots, repair all ball marks, rake traps and observe all posted signs.

5. USGA rules will govern play except as posted on #1 tee.

6. White stakes indicate out of bounds.  Also, on hole #3, the road to right is out of bounds.

7. Deposit all trash in the receptacles provided.

8. You must permit faster players to play thru if the hole ahead is open.

9. Proper attire must be worn on the golf course at all times.  No tank tops or short shorts are permitted.

10. Holidays are open golf for Members and their guests only.

11. Wednesday mornings is Ladies Day.  Women will have preference off #1 tee from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.

12. Prime time is considered to be Saturday, Sunday, holidays, and weekdays after 4:00 PM.

13. Saturday and Sunday morning is men’s play until 11:30 AM.

14. Guests are permitted to play without a member during the times posted in the Clubhouse.

15. Guests may play (must be with a member) two times per month in prime time except guests living more than 50 miles from the Club.

16. No guests are permitted before 1:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday during the months of May, June, July, and August, except guests living more than 50 miles from the Club. 

17. If a Member has a family or business outing at the pavilion, they may play golf after 3:00 PM on Saturday or Sunday.  Maximum of 11 guests.  Must have permission prior to the event from the Club Manager, Golf Chairman, or President.

18. Each player must have his or her own bag of clubs.

19. You may practice on designated areas only.  Riding carts are not permitted in the shag area.

20. Each person participating in a Club sponsored handicap golf event must have a Deer Trails established handicap or a verified handicap from an outside club professional or handicap chairman.  For men playing in 18 hole events, the highest handicap you can use in a Club event is 38.  For women the highest handicap is 40.

 

Dependents and Juniors

1. Non-members under the age of 16 are not permitted on the Course at any time unless they are a guest of a member.

2. A member’s dependent child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult (responsible adult being 18 years or older) on the golf course and may play after 4:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, and between 2:00 and 3:00 PM and after 6:30 PM Monday thru Thursday.

3. A member’s dependent child under 6 years of age is not permitted on the golf course unless they are participating in the game of golf.  They are permitted on the putting green.

4. A member’s dependent child over the age of 18, with an established Deer Trails handicap, is eligible to play in Club Events unless the event is filled by adult club members.  However, a members dependent child is not eligible to play in any adult Club Championship.  They are eligible to play in the Junior Club Championship.

5. A member’s dependent child, under the age of 18 years, may not bring golfing guests during prime time.

6. A member’s dependent child, 18 years of age and over, may bring only one golfing guest during prime time.

7. Dependent children under the age of 18 are not permitted to rent a riding cart.

 

Cart Rules

1. Keep all carts 30 feet from greens, traps, and teeing areas.

2. Where there is a paved cart path, carts must use it.

3. Only two riders per cart.

4. Pull carts are not permitted between sand traps and greens.

5. Riding carts are not permitted at the shag area or for practicing.  Do not use the cart for playing extra holes.

6. Do not take riding carts in the gully on #2, #5, or #7 holes.  Do not take cart off of path on #9 hole.

7. First offense of cart rules will result in a warning.  Second offense will result in loss of cart privilege.

8. You must have a paid receipt for the cart with you on the cart.
